Since the beginning of this year, Laicheng District has taken the construction of export agricultural product quality and safety demonstration zone as a project to transform agricultural product export development mode, promote farmers' income, agricultural efficiency and rural development, and the establishment of export agricultural product quality and safety demonstration zone has achieved obvious results. Up to now, the agricultural products of Laicheng District have been exported to 91 countries and regions, an increase of 13 countries over 2008. In the first eight months of this year, the district exported 335.73 million US dollars of agricultural products, a year-on-year increase of 100.3%.
