On the evening of July 28, the 2011 Summer Gala, sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the New Bureau of Culture and Guangzhou, hosted by Laiwu Clappers Troupe and co-organized by Shandong Manhing Food Co., Ltd. kicked off in the Cultural square of the city. Vice Mayor Liu Jie and Vice Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC Yin Yiming watched the first performance. The gala kicked off with the opening dance, Let's Dance. Fire trees and silver flowers all night, nightingales and dances sweet laughter. The songs "Good Days", "Shepherd Song", "Father" and other programs won bursts of applause from the audience. The evening came to a close with the dance Laiwu, the Soaring City. The performance lasted two hours and was watched by thousands of citizens.
